People don’t hire a cleaning company the way they buy a product. They are letting someone into their home or office, so they look for signs that you are reliable before they ask for a quote. Your website is where most of those signs live.
Here is the checklist we use when we build websites for cleaning companies in the US.
1. Make your services obvious
Visitors should know in a few seconds what you do. Give each main service its own section or page:
- Residential and recurring cleaning
- Deep cleaning
- Move-in and move-out cleaning
- Office and commercial cleaning
- Post-construction cleaning
Separate pages also help you show up on Google for each of those searches.
2. Show where you work
Cleaning is local. List the cities and neighborhoods you cover, and make sure they match your Google Business Profile. People searching “house cleaning near me” want to know right away that you serve their area.
3. Lead with trust
- Reviews. Feature real Google reviews on the site and link to your profile.
- Real photos. Your team, your uniforms, your van, your work. Avoid generic stock photos when you can.
- Insurance and bonding. If your business is insured and bonded, say it clearly.
- A real story. A short “about us” with the owner’s name and why the company started goes a long way.
4. Make getting a quote effortless
The whole site should lead to one action: requesting a quote. Keep the form short (name, phone, address or ZIP code, type of cleaning, preferred date) and offer a faster option for people who prefer to text, such as WhatsApp or SMS. Put the button on every page and keep it visible on mobile.
5. Build it for phones first
Most visitors will find you on their phone. The site should load fast on a mobile connection, have large buttons and short paragraphs, and keep your phone number and quote button one tap away.
6. Connect it to Google
A website and a Google Business Profile work together. Point your profile to your website, use the same business name, phone and service area in both places, and keep asking happy clients for reviews. Recent reviews with written feedback help the most.
7. Keep your brand consistent
The colors and logo on your website should match your uniforms, van graphics, business cards and door hangers. When neighbors see the same brand on a van, a door hanger and a Google result, they remember you when they need a cleaner.
8. Measure what matters
Track how many people request a quote, call or message you from the website. That tells you which pages work and whether your ads are paying off.
